Clinical Research Position in Occupational Therapy (IHP)

Job Description

The MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston is seeking to fill a full-time (12-month) research faculty position. The primary responsibilities include conducting high-quality clinical research in areas related to occupational therapy, establishing a program of extramurally-funded research, participating in an innovative Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation Sciences PhD and Doctor of Occupational Therapy Programs, and supervising/mentoring student and faculty research.

The position is funded by the MGH Institute and includes a very competitive salary as well as start-up funding to establish required laboratory facilities and cover other costs associated with fostering a successful research program.

Excellent opportunities for collaboration and joint appointments are available at affiliated world-class hospitals including the Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. Current research faculty members also collaborate with other leading institutions in the Boston area, including MIT and Harvard Medical School.

MGH Institute of Health Professions is a fully accredited graduate school located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard overlooking downtown Boston. Requirements for this position are a PhD degree as well as an established record of external research grant funding and peer-reviewed publications. Current occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts is required.
