Job Summary:

This position develops, delivers and maintains system training programs to support the implementation of MEDITECH 5.6 and/or MEDITECH 6.0.Training programs are aimed at those implementing MEDITECH along with application users and clinical system administrators. The primary delivery method consists of live virtual training combined with other technology based solutions using a blended learning approach. This position is responsible for the design and development of training required to support the build and use of the MEDITECH product. Training will be delivered to divisions, markets and facilities as necessary for system implementations or enhancements
Fulfills the role of Subject Matter Expert relating to the ITG system applications.
General Responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in:
* This position is responsible for developing and delivering learning experiences focused on the implementation and use of applications and associated systems. It requires interaction with hospital staff, physicians, allied health professionals, Corporate ITG and other business partners.
* This position will collaborate in development of new and on-going modifications of all designated courses. The position will also be responsible for teaching courses and for keeping materials updated, which includes WBT and ePSS (Electronic Performance Support Solutions).
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with Project Teams, Instructional Designers, Media Specialists, Subject Matter Experts and Business Owners in the development of course content, training materials, agendas, lessons plans, and presentation materials for assigned courses.
* Responsible for course instruction including classroom, live virtual classroom, and web-based training.
* As a senior system educator, this person will coordinate the change control process for assigned modules to ensure the training environment remains in sync with production for their assigned application area(s).The senior system educator must maintain understanding of production changes and properly communicate to affected stakeholders.
* Serves as core member for assigned ITG application systems training projects.
* Collaborates with other educators in the development of new learning experiences.
* Adheres to Project Management plans under the mentorship of the Consulting educator, including understanding of resource estimates, development timelines, delivery timelines, scheduling and communication and coordination of internal project participants.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
* Bachelors Degree required
* 3-5+ years relevant work experience
Other Qualifications:
* Ideal candidate will have a strong healthcare background with experience in specific IT applications
* Experience managing individual projects preferred.
* Training experience preferred
* Healthcare IT experience required
* RN preferred for clinical programs
* Intermediate Instructional Design Experience and WBT (Web Based Training) development, using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Camtasia Suite, and Articulate Storyline.
* Self-directed and motivated.
* Intermediate knowledge of the clinical operation processes in a healthcare environment.
* Intermediate knowledge of computer systems and common software packages.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Must have clear speaking voice and good hearing, as position requires the use of a headset/microphone to deliver virtual classes.
* Intermediate Web-based authoring tool experience a plus.
* Excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrated ability to perform in a team setting and to interact effectively with Corporate Business process teams, Facility Administration, Division/Group Administration, and Facility personnel.
