Job Summary: Business Relationship Manager (BRM) professionals work as the strategic interface with assigned areas of the company for business-IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. These individuals serve as the relationship linkage between the LKQ business unit and the LKQ IT Services department. They provide highly-valued strategic consulting level support and guidance throughout key business initiatives. They facilitate, and serve as a lead, for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable LKQ to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology. They also communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding service requests, projects and initiatives.
Business Relationship Managers proactively serve as a trusted advisor, and function as a key point of contact for IT business stakeholders. They represent LKQ IT Services to the company by promoting the IT vision, value, services, and capabilities. They also act as advocates on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their business priorities and needs.
Individuals in this role must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. They work closely with others on intangible issues across organizational and business-entity boundaries. Their knowledge of technology risks and opportunities are shared to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of LKQ.
Essential Job Duties:
Manage the complexity around providing IT services to the business.
Business Relationship Management
o Build mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationships with our business and IT partners.
o Act as the single point of accountability for business satisfaction with IT production services.
o Advocates business needs to IT.
o Advises business on IT service direction and support matters.
o Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and self-sufficiency.
o Assist in business strategic initiatives and IT alignment.
o Manages IT service constraints with business expectations.
Portfolio Management
o Manage the demand prioritization process and ensure only the highest value projects are consuming resources.
o Monitor the portfolio health.
o Provide periodic updates to both business and IT executive leadership.
Change Management
o Business process solution design.
o Accounting analytical design.
o Evaluate project objectives.
o Project issue resolution.
Technology Management
o Direct IT services alignment in support of the overall business strategy.
Incident and Problem Management
o Informs Operations, Application Support, Infrastructure/Architecture, Field Services and Development of business production issues and needs.
o Facilitates orderly recovery of service due to an incident. Assists in the resolution of high impact incident.
o Communicates incident impact, status and final resolution to Senior Business and IT Management.
o Promotes timely resolution of chronic problems.
o Advises and mentor business on process for production issues, changes and technology upgrades.
o For major Priority 1/2 incidents researches financial/operational impact, root cause and final resolution, and send an Incident Brief to appropriate Senior Business and IT management.
o Reduces chronic production problems & encourage business self-sufficiency.
o Problem Management planning - Periodically review and identify chronic production incidents and escalate chronic production problems to Problem Management.
o Identify production enhancements to promote business self-sufficiency.
o Review and analyze performance against established service levels.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required, some college preferred.
3+ years experience in software quality assurance
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within an organization.
Must be a self-starter and possess excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
Strong conceptual understanding of a wide variety of applications.
Machines, Equipment, and Software:
Multi-user computer and telephone system, copier, fax machine and Microsoft Office software.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position requires individuals to sit, type, bending, standing, and may have to move/lift up to 25 pounds.
Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions.
This position may require occasional travel.
Decision Making Examples:
Based on review and frequency of issues reported, the employee will be able to determine a trend of an increase or decrease in production issues and align the issue with a specific change impacting production recommending either rollback or if a critical response by other team members is warranted.

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
