Your Role and Responsibilities
Application programming interfaces (API) are the digital glue that links services, applications, sensors and mobile devices to create compelling customer experiences and help businesses tap into new market opportunities. They allow customer to bring new digital services to market, open revenue channels and exceed customer expectations. The IBM API Connect is an API management solution that addresses critical aspects of the API lifecycle for both on-premises and cloud environments providing the capability to create, run, manage and secure APIs and microservices.
The platform team is at the core of all the subsystems APIM, Portal and Analytics. Platform team builds, maintains and ships application microservices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* Proven experience as a technical lead for large teams and as a enterprise product architect
* Expert in Kubernetes and Container deployments and architecture
* Knowledgeable of latest trends in open source development
* Vet on technologies and trends to target that will best meet customer needs
* Have a opinion on state of art and future of Kubernetes cloud native trends and architecture
* Familiarity with build pipelines for building Platforms
* Proficient in computer security (OS, containers, communications and protocols)
* Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams
* Agile development experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Operator SDK osdk 1.x
* OLM expertise
* Golang expertise
* Redhat knowledge, especially working in Openshift
