DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design and develop micro-service components for automation of unit testing. Develop and maintain Application Programming Interface (APIs) while adhering to software development life cycle (SDLC) practices. Develop APIs for firm-wide multi-tenant event streaming service in order for application teams to access service. Develop site reliability engineering (SRE) tools to be monitored and supported at scale by operations teams. Provide technical consultancy to application development teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the position offered or four (4) years of experience as an Application/Software Developer, IT Consultant/Analyst, or related role. The employer will alternatively accept a Masters degree and two (2) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree and four (4) years of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: cross platform application development in hybrid cloud and Unix platforms using IDE tools IntelliJ or Eclipse; working with RESTful APIs, Java, J2EE, Spring Boot Micro Services, and Hibernate; Cloud Foundry; Java Messaging Service; Oracle database technology; GIT version control system; Bitbucket repositories; and Maven and Jenkin build tools.
