You will be responsible for most of the daily FP&A operations and provide direct support to all finance managers for total team success. Successful candidates for this role will need strong finance & accounting skills, leadership experience, interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You need to be able to work collaboratively with all Finance and Business Planning (FBP) teams. You will be at the forefront of managing the day-to-day operations to help Finance scale to support the growing business for all of Facebook. You will play a critical role in closing the books, and in headcount and OpEx management for FB businesses. You will gain invaluable experience in a position which offers significant opportunity to build and scale FP&A processes and learn operational discipline.
FP&A Center of Excellence Manager Responsibilities
* Join the team that supports Biz and Corp Planning, Core Products & Business Finance, New Platform & Infra (NPI) Finance pillars in FBP on core financial operations. Responsible for the day-to-day operations to help Finance to scale
* Own the monthly/quarterly close process. Submit accruals and reclass journal entries, perform actuals reconciliation with budget, own the variance analysis and review P&L daily during close periods to ensure financial data accuracy
* Lead team of 6+ FP&A COE analysts/associates to achieve total team success
* develop/mentor an exceptional NPI COE team
* Conduct headcount, operating expense, and capital expenditure reporting. Meet all internal financial reporting requirements
* Act as the primary finance reviewer for all PO. Need to work closely with Procurement to ensure smooth procure-to-pay processes
* Assist or own quarterly forecast cycles and annual budget planning. Set up templates and be responsible for Hyperion data loads
* Work closely with the Accounting teams to ensure tight finance controls and fulfill external audit requirements
* Hold regular meeting with FBP managers to understand work intake and to review work output
* Drive process improvements across FBP teams to streamline, automate existing FP&A processes
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Accounting, Enterprise Engineering, Source-to-Pay, and HR
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
* 8+ years accounting or financial experience
* Experience managing teams and developing financial analysts/associates
* Experience learning new systems/tools and proactively look for opportunities to create operational efficiencies with existing processes
* Experience building working relationships with FP&A leadership/managers from remote location
* Detail oriented and experience working closely with both Accounting teams to ensure controls during close
* Experience with PowerPoint, Oracle and Hyperion, SQL, and building financial models in Excel to automate reporting
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with SQL
* CPA or MBA
* Experience in Oracle Financials and Hyperion Planning
