Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Community Project Manager for the Spatial Computing team within XR Tech/Facebook Reality Labs. This position will support Facebooks Mapillary and OpenStreetMap community activities across the globe. You will be responsible for coordinating community activities and supporting partner organizations. Your overall focus will be on initiatives that help to increase the contributions and quality of imagery to the Mapillary platform.

Community Project Manager Responsibilities

* Support the growth of the Mapillary (and OpenStreetMap) communities globally, providing community support, capacity building, training, and mentorship to communities looking to grow

* Provide our community with general and technical support by developing and maintaining our support system

* Support challenges, campaigns, workshops, and conference plans that connect with the Spatial Computing teams overall goals, with particular focus on mapping community members

* Support creation of community strategy and direct engagement with local communities in line with the global strategy

* Lead in person and virtual training events, workshops, and webinars

* Support the Mapillary community team with growth, product marketing, and communications efforts

* Coordinate with organizations and assist them capturing and uploading imagery to Mapillary

* Provide geospatial support to Facebooks community facing teams including querying of OpenStreetMap related data as it relates to Mapillary

Minimum Qualifications

* Educated to University degree level (Bachelors/Masters) in related field (information systems, communications, informatics, geography)

* Collaborative and independent work ethic: a self-starter with demonstrated experience starting an initiative from scratch as well as working with a distributed global team

* Experience creating and running community support programs and working with community based organizations globally

* Familiarity with the global and regional OpenStreetMap communities

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience developing training curricula and leading training sessions

* Experience with tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS, SQL

* Experience working as part of the OpenStreetMap community

* Project management experience
