Job Description

Position Title: Field Service Engineer FLSA: Salary Non-Exempt

Reports To: Labwatch/Field Services Manager Date: 01/21

Functional Scope: Responsible for working on-site with customers to install, train, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, validation execution and sensor calibration while enhancing customer relationships and exceeding expectations.

Position Specifications: 2 year computer science degree or 4 years applicable experience, reside near major airport, willing to travel up to 85%+ of time, familiarity with networking, VBA and software installation, strong software service experience with ability to debug and reproduce hardware issues, strong written/oral communications, customer interface/training experience and experience/exposure to GMP validation environment is preferred.

Essential Functions:

* Regular attendance

* Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position, with or without accommodations

* 75% average travel to customer locations

* Post sales on-site and phone support of the Kaye Validation equipment

* Calibration, repair, validation, execution and service contract fulfillment of Kaye and LabWatch equipment

* Soft system installation including hardware, maintenance, repair, calibration and troubleshooting issues on site

* Visit & develop close working relationship with area sales managers and customers, gaining in-depth knowledge of customer needs

* Protocol execution

* Customer training

Secondary Functions:

* Testing software/hardware

* Update or develop protocols

* Report customer issues to Engineering

* Tech support for Kaye products via phone/email

* Work safely

* Other functions as assigned

Physical Demands with or without Reasonable Accommodations:

- Sedentary position with extended periods at computer.

- May require bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, stretching, stooping, walking, standing.

- Lifting or transporting light to heavy items (up to 75 lbs). Ability to tolerate fumes, odor and noise.

- Repetitive motions.

- Ability to apply mental processes, in order to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.

- Ability to remain calm and in control, even when under pressure. Ability to manage stress.

- Ability to concentrate as position is subject to frequent distractions.

- Ability to adapt to change.

- Visual acuity. Must be able to distinguish full range of colors.
