To help a growing organization scale features to Prime Video customers, our Forecasting and Capacity Planning organization is innovating on behalf of our global software development team consisting of thousands of engineers. The team is building a predictive scaling solution that will apply machine learning techniques to develop forecasts on key business dimensions and leverage them to inform and automate scaling across our global software environment.

You will help apply your deep knowledge to concrete problems our engineering teams face on a daily basis. You will collaborate with team members to design and deliver enterprise-scale systems that will be used by both internal and external customers. You will help set and continuously evolve a culture of innovation and efficiency that helps us deliver a best in class customer experience. You will own end to end technical components and framework focused on technology and services needed to build, scale, and operate an Amazon-caliber customer experience. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and end-users around the world at all levels. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Minimum 3 years experience of full life cycle software development.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience as an Machine Learning Engineer or Software Development Engineer.
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, Java, or Python.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on expertise with big data and machine learning.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
