Position Description

The Structured Funding Analyst will run cash flow modeling and valuation analytics for public and private transactions including securitizations, loan sales, credit facilities and other strategic initiatives. Will support the execution of public and private retail auto securitization. Position will also be involved in various ad hoc projects as needed around various reporting and analytical needs of the Structured Funding group.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop optimal capital structures according to rating agency requirements using knowledge of auto securitization market and transaction structures; sizing of senior and subordinate notes and credit enhancements for transactions using financial models developed in-house by adhering to the methodologies published by major rating agencies.
* Conduct exploratory quantitative analysis to develop and dimension asset strategy initiatives. Consolidate relevant facts and model results into ad hoc reporting and present to senior level management.
* Prepare rating agency submissions including transaction cash flows (based on the rating agency stress assumptions), static loss data tables and curves highlighting Ally's auto portfolio performance
* Prepare presentations describing proposed structures and supporting analytics for rating agencies to obtain required ratings on a timely basis.
* Provide analytical support to execution teams by working with both internal and external parties including business partners, rating agencies, bank counterparts, legal counsels, and investors to facilitate the execution of funding activities.
* Produce monthly and ad hoc reports relating to structured funding activities for senior management.
* Maintain models to support required credit enhancement and structural features of public and private transactions.
* Work to continually improve modeling and reporting.
* Support collateral management related activities, including but not limited to pool cuts, secured facility borrowings and pay downs and related analytical support
* Evaluating and implementing new IT systems to support structured funding needs including work with Model Validation group.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics.
* Experience in financial modeling, financial mathematics, asset valuation techniques, and use of spreadsheet applications
* Strong technical skills including Excel and PowerPoint
* CPA, CFA or similar professional accounting/finance certification preferred
