Participants will help drive outstanding and efficient customer experiences through progressive projects and initiatives, from FinTech partnerships and digital payments to modern application environments and cloud computing.

Software Engineer Track - Consumer

Software Engineers work collaboratively to pursue a broad range of initiatives. By leveraging technical skills and a thirst for innovation, our Software Engineers produce ground-breaking Middleware technologies and support multiple solutions spanning our consumer banking applications.

The Software Engineer l will be responsible for:

* Designing, modifying, developing and implementing technology solutions; building modern, architecturally sound components, tools and applications to meet strategic business goals.
* Infusing quality of service characteristics, such as scalability, manageability and maintainability, into distributed service-based framework to build or expand business or technical capabilities.
* Employ industry standards to evaluate, remedy and prevent vulnerabilities during the software development process.
* Documenting development iterations; ensuring the quality of documentation; creating progress reports.
* Participating in code and design reviews with Middleware teams to ensure that solutions meet current enterprise standards.

Note: this program is located in Johnston, RI

Program Information

New hires will also partake in Early Career Development Programming (ECDP) a robust, 4-month program that provides a strong foundation of Citizens. The ECDP offers:

* 2-day Orientation in downtown Boston with all bank-wide development program colleagues
* Professional development workshops (such as Agile Methodologies and Communicating with Impact)
* Exposure to senior leadership and dedicated community service activities
* Strategic Challenge where youll work in small teams to solve for an organizational problem and present your recommendations to a panel of executives

Note: this full-time program begins in early June 2021

Qualifications

What youll need to apply

* Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other technology-related degree
* Expected graduation date of May 2021
* Minimum GPA 3.0
* Experience in software development, preferably full-stack web development
* Demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative environment; strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Understanding of multiple programming languages, including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue), such as Python3, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C, C++, etc.
* AWS/AZURE/GCP experience preferred
