Job Description

The Secure Sensor Solutions mission area provides the US government and its allies the most advanced systems to navigate in challenging environments, identify and discriminate friendly and foe objects and take the necessary action to ensure the warfighter has an unfair advantage.

As a part of Raytheon Intelligence & Space business, Secure Sensor Solutions (S3) provides capabilities that enable critical tasks--- from target identification, aircraft navigation, and target engagement.

The F/A-18 & Global Strike (F18&GS)product line within S3 provides development, production and sustainment for the APG-79 AESA radar products and variants on the F/A-18, B2 & B-52 platforms. The F18&GS product line is looking for a Production Program Director to manage the current & future F/A-18 & B-52 radar production, leading a high performing team in a positive and collaborate manner. The Production Program director will oversee a portfolio of production programs managing a team of Program Managers, matrixed functional support and internal manufacturing organizations. The Program Director must ensure alignment between functional areas, and supporting program areas including Development and Sustainment. The Production Program Director must work closely with Engineering, Mission Assurance, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Development and customers to insure internal/external manufacturing capabilities/capacities can support future radar production programs and ensure current programs are executing to customers delivery & quality expectations. The Production Program Director will also drive improvement efforts associated with manufacturing labor reductions, factory capacity expansion and product quality and yield all to support increased throughput and product cost reductions. This role will work with external customers and suppliers and must be able to represent the company as well as listen to the needs and cares of various parties. The director will oversee production proposals submitted to customers, be involved in and shape proposals and have a significant role in F18&GS strategic growth plans. F18&GS has a strong history of program execution and we are looking for a Production Program Director to continue this legacy and continue to lead our teams forward to success.

Required Skills:
* Minimum 12 years of professional related working experience in Program Management, Engineering leadership, Program Operations, Aerospace manufacturing or other applicable, relevant work experience.
* Progressive program management/ leadership experience with production, development and/or sustainment programs, and International Customer experience
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, including a matrixed environment
* Proven experience in managing manufacturing/test operations for complex electronic assemblies
* Proven experience in capturing new business/program(s), proposals, and customer engagement
* Strong background and experience in program management techniques (operating in a Profit & Loss responsibilities) and working within a matrixed environment
* Proven demonstration of leadership competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results in a high paced production portfolio
* Must be able to obtain Program Management Certification
* Fluency with current program management tool: Risk & Opportunity management, Earned Value management, EAC development, etc
* Active DoD Secret Clearance & ability to obtain SAP clearances
* U.S. Citizenship

Desired Skills:
* Significant technical/manufacturing knowledge of complex electronic assemblies
* Ability to achieve Level 3 PM certification
* Level II EV Certification
* MBA or Advanced Technical Degree preferred
* Active DoD Clearance above Secret & ability to obtain SAP clearances

Required Education (including Major):

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or related discipline

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
