We produce all commercially available vacuum melt nickel and cobaltbase alloys for equiaxed, directionally solidified and single crystal remelt applications, as well as air melt cobalt alloys for remelt applications. We also produce all commercially available stainless steels and develop and produce our own line of proprietary single crystal and directionally solidified alloys, including CMSX4 under the CM Alloy Brand.

Position Summary

Reporting to our Manufacturing Operations Manager, this individual is responsible for the management of all aspects of a manufacturing department at our Muskegon, Michigan facility.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Primary duties of this position include:

Direct supervision and responsibility for all department personnel.

Ensuring all work and other activities are performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner that is compliant with all regulatory and company requirements.

Ensure all company 6S initiatives are adhered to.

Provide direction, set deadlines, and resolve issues as required.

Schedule and prioritize department functions to ensure customer requirements are met.

Oversight of all department equipment/machinery, including the coordination of PM and repair work.

Develop, coach, and train department employees in technical work instructions, job procedures, etc.

Provide formalized feedback to department employees through an established appraisal system.

Analyze department performance, prepare reports, and participate in corrective actions necessary to optimize throughput and efficiency.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education

Candidates should have a fouryear degree, possess an interest in establishing standards and holding individuals accountable, and have a desire for advancement. Previous manufacturing supervision is also required. This position also requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to lead, mentor, and train others to meet company expectations.
