Job Description
Position Title: Shipping Clerk
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Location: YOH
Job Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately processing and shipping our client's products out of the warehouse to the customer
Job Duties:
* Shipping finished products to customers
* Communicate with outbound transportation providers
* Prepare shipping documents
* Process shipment details accurately
* Generate carrier shipping labels
* Assemble, address, stamp, and ship merchandise
* Update shipment holds and schedule releases when authorized
* Accurately enter weights and dimensions as needed
* Stack units onto pallets using straps, stretch wrap and applying shipping labels as required
* Schedule pick-ups
* Maintain all required supplies and equipment associated with the packaging of completed orders
* Close out manifest as required
* Validating cartons shipped and outstanding cartons to ship
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
* Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel
* Proficient using Microsoft Office Products
* Communicates clearly and effectively
* Responsible with a Strong Work Ethic
* Clearly Read, Write, and be Responsive
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision
* Ability to work in warm and cool temperatures
* Ability to bend, twist, lift & walk on a continuous & repetitive basis
* Ability to work at a fast pace to meet demands and shipping deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
* Must have experience with computers including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Must have prior warehouse experience (shipping and/or receiving experience a plus)
* Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
* Prior experience with sit-down forklift (prior certification helpful) a plus
* Must have prior experience with computers
