Position Description & Duties:
The Environmental Technician for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s EH&S team at the company’s Pecos, TX office reporting to the Environmental & Sustanability Lead.
This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Ability to work with field personnel on gathering/updating/completing data as required
An interest in expanding environmental knowledge and applicability
Ability to operate a gas imaging camera in different temperature environments
Ability to map gas imaging routes on diagrams
Ability to use GPS/other mapping software to find facility locations
Working with environmental coordinators on updating records and reports as needed for environmental reporting
Assisting EHS personnel as required in other duties as required
Preferred & Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Science background helpful but not critical
Working knowledge of oil field equipment helpful
