Your Role and Responsibilities
LOCATION: North Castle, NY

Applicant must have a strong background in the fundamental security processes of Physical Security, Emergency Planning, Information Protection, and Incident Management. Position requires strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to translate action plans into concrete results.

Responsibilities:

* Performs risk analysis at locations to identify internal and external threats, including support during acquisition and divestiture business activities.
* Performs Security Systems technology support with regards to the installation and maintenance of security equipment, technologies and tools.
* Maintains location emergency plans, develops and provides regular training to the Crisis Management Team and moderates emergency scenario exercises as necessary.
* Plans, coordinates, and conducts investigations of suspected violations including theft, fraud, and workplace violence to name a few.
* Supports IBM Corporate Events and special projects as necessary.
* Fosters Security vendor relationships to ensure effective and efficient supplier performance results.
* Will work under the direction and support of a senior staff member but will also work independently to ensure completed staff work.
* Implements and maintains Corporate Security directives.
* Prepares process documents and updates, prepares reports for functional use, develops security related training and education for IBM management and employees.
* Participates in the audit process for assigned locations and area of responsibility.
* Fulfills security requirements defined within IBM Corporate Security Manual.

The applicant will work with Security peers as well as members of the real estate, legal and human resources organizations

Must be prepared to work normal and flexible hours, be exposed to the demands of some minor travel and irregular work hours including weekends.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* At least 1 year experience in the Industrial Security field.
* Operate in a remote environment. Communicate effectively with Senior Management, business unit management, peers and executives.
* Ability to obtain and maintain security industry related certifications.
* Basic IT skills and proficient with software applications (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, etc.)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or similar curriculum strongly preferred
* Experience with physical security technology, contract security management, risk assessment and analysis, emergency preparedness and investigation.
