Basic Function

Responsible for the safe management of the warehouse and shipping/receiving functions

Responsible for the supervision of Material Handlers, Shuttle Drivers, and Shipping/Receiving Clerks

Coordinates the shipping of materials in and out of the Farwell facility, including warehousing

Specific Duties
1. Responsible for subordinate safety compliance and training; functions as role model relative to safety and environmental issues.
2. Responsible for warehouse layout and cleanliness of the facility and grounds as it pertains to the location and organization of materials
3. Trains, schedules and supervises the activities of the material handlers, materials clerks, and plant packing personnel on all shifts.
4. Communicates with all departments in the necessary time frames to ensure products are ready for shipment.
5. Schedules and facilitates regular communication meetings with material handlers
6. Ultimately responsible for the timely arrival of raw materials to the Production operations from warehouse storage.
7. Schedules Lear trucks and plans customer outbound shipments.
8. Responsible for perpetual inventory activities, coordinating all cycle counts using Materials staff
9. Monitors break points of FG and component inventory during ECL changes.
10. Support SER activities (receiving / shipping / inventory mgmt).
11. Trains New Materials Associates to the standard work instructions.
12. Acts as the department manager in his/her absence.
13. Responsible for the receiving and control of all Non-Production material for the Farwell plant.
14. Other duties as assigned
