Reporting directly to the Finance Manager - Manufacturing and operationally to the Plant Director, the Plant Finance Business Manager is a member of the Plant Operating Committee and is the finance leader for the plant. This role is responsible for partnering with the Plant Director and Plant Leadership Team members in achieving the goals set for the plant. The Plant Finance Business Partner is responsible for all finance and business-related activities within the Plant and supports other finance related initiatives as part of the SBU Manufacturing Finance team, including the development of finance talent for the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Driver of Strategic Initiatives (Zero loss thinking, Operational Excellence and others): Principal change agent in plant with Plant Director to drive business initiatives, working alongside the plant leadership team members.
* Be the acting Plant Director when the Plant Director is out of the plant.
* Develop cost savings and plant operational plans to support strategic initiatives (Operational Excellence e.g. Loss Analysis, Plant Optimization and Lean Run).
* Leading implementation and providing full oversight of all savings projects at the plant (champion PowerSteering project database). Evaluate business processes at the plant for opportunities to simplify, centralize, automate to reduce activities not geared toward improving plant performance
* Perform tactical analysis to support solid plant decision making: Provide tools and insight to educate shop floor leaders on making better production ticket/business decisions.
* Develop talent and finance team structure to partner with plant business center managers.
* Develop and implement effective financial analysis tools to identify opportunities to improve plants performance
* Leading all reporting activities, estimates and analysis: Prepare AOP, monthly/quarterly reporting, special analyses as needed. Summarize and communicate financial and operating results against objectives.
* Translate plants financial results into actionable strategic or tactical tasks at the plant or operating department level. Lead the development of material cost information and analysis (including loss analysis, power steering and plant optimization).
* Develop production cost/conversion information and analysis.
* Analyze and develop total delivered cost savings targets and objectives. Ensure reporting and submission requirements are met.
* Capital improvements planning: Coordinate development of capital improvements plan.
* Payback and project evaluation and justification. Validate project benefit via post-project audits.
* Coordinate restructuring activities related to the plant.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

* 10+ years of progressively more responsible experience, with minimum 5 years in a lead management role.
* 3+ years direct manufacturing experience.
* 3+ years financial analysis experience.
* Understands product sales channels for production decision.
* Strong skills in relevant financial or computer systems as applicable to the region. Experienced in building teams, developing talent for the organization.
* Ability to practically apply lean/continuous improvement techniques.
* Partnering skills; change management experience; interpersonal skills; creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.
* Develops team members through coaching and feedback on results. Shares personal knowledge and experience.
* English fluent spoken and written

Education:

* Bachelors' degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.).
* Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
