The Gilead Business Services center in Raleighs Research Triangle region will be home to some of the companys critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gileads business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.





Job Description

The Business Analytics Manager Purchase to Pay (PTP) will report into the Global PTP Data & Analytics Lead and will be responsible for identifying, assessing and delivering data and analytics, automation and continuous improvement projects. The role will support the opportunity to scale Global Financial Solutions (GFS) data & analytics requirements under one global function and to standardize data governance aligned to our corporate program.



The focus of the role is to support a Global PTP team by assessing identifying opportunities to improve process consistency and efficiency as well as remaining compliant. The candidate will possess the confidence and drive to not only identify opportunities, but also work with the business to ensure insight translates into action and deliver tangible results. As well as this, the candidate will be an advocate to digitalize and automate GFS processes through data and analytics insight, and deployment of automation, AI, and other emerging technologies to create capacity and increase efficiency, quality and control of our processes.



Effectively managing the perceptions and expectations of business leaders and senior management is critical to the success of this role. The successful candidate will be expected to be highly self-motivated and innovative, with proven experience in successfully leading and supporting a best in class PTP function.

Essential Job Requirements:

* Deliver best in class process performance through agile execution and optimal use of technology
* Provide actionable insight to decision-makers to influence strategy and performance
* Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, SOX controls, government and/or legal requirements
* Accountability for service delivery against key performance indicators across PTP processes. Analyze and interpret data and metrics for trends, drivers and performance results against industry benchmarks to drive process improvement and optimize user experience
* Partner with team leaders, senior management, and PTP Business Process Lead on the identification and execution of automation or continuous improvement initiatives and cultivate a culture of teamwork
* Educate colleagues on the art of the possible with data analytics, automation and AI via workshops and other means
* Delivery of large-scale business/technology programs
* Automate, operationalize, monitor and manage data pulled from various source systems
* Other duties and special projects, as assigned

Technical Skills:

* Exposure to cutting edge BI tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI
* Experience in using process mining and other means to analyze a business process and recommend where opportunities to enhance exist
* Understand where analytics, RPA and AI can be deployed to increase efficiency as well as quality and compliance whilst reducing manual effort
* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
* Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps) would be advantageous



Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma, and 8 years of Data and Analytic and Technology programs experience, OR Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Data & Analytics or Finance, and 6 years experience OR masters degree and 4 years experience



Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

* Experience working in a multinational or global Finance organization
* Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry a plus
* Demonstrated understanding of PTP best practices
* Knowledge of S/4 HANA leveraging FIORI, CDS and Enterprise HANA to drive process improvement
