This asset management firm invests across the global credit spectrum and its products include long/short liquid credit hedge funds, special situation, middle-market direct lending, long-only credit including CLO's and a commercial real estate business.

The Company is seeking a bright, articulate, detail-oriented individual to join the Private Debt team to join as an Associate in August or September 2021. The successful candidate will take a central role in supporting the evaluation, structuring and negotiation of our private debt transactions, as well as in the monitoring of our investments. As a member of the firms' investment team, the Associate will be involved in all aspects of the investing process including due diligence, execution and portfolio management. Our associates work with a small deal team in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, and have constant interaction with the most senior members of the firm, as well as the senior management of our portfolio companies.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a BSP Private Debt Associate?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Modeling and valuation of potential investment opportunities
* Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses used to support the underwriting of potential investments ideas and theses
* Supporting the transaction due diligence and closing processes
* Preparing detailed investment committee memoranda
* Managing existing investments
* Assisting in structuring transactions
* Understanding key credit documentation and deal terms



What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone be successful?

* 1-2+ years of investment banking experience, preferably with some experience in leveraged finance or with debt/credit analysis
* Ideally 2019 or 2020 graduate with strong academic record
* Expert analytical and financial modeling skills
* Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
