The Role and Responsibilities
DuPont Water & Protection is seeking a Strategy & Development Leader to support enterprise strategy planning and development within our Strategy, Growth & Ventures group. The Business Strategy and Corporate Development Leader will support our businesses through organic and inorganic strategy development, market analysis, acquisition target identification, and due diligence of actionable opportunities. This position will be expected to become knowledgeable in Water & Protection2019s businesses and develop a keen understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics and the M&A landscape. Successful candidates will demonstrate a curious and strategic mindset and the ability to effectively partner with junior and senior leaders, across a complex organization, to deliver tangible results.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Support the M&A pipeline process to accelerate acquisition strategy, including researching potential targets and industry trends using public and private sources of data
* Effectively manage complex financial and valuation modeling and analysis for potential M&A transactions and other strategic initiatives
* Conduct and coordinate due diligence efforts with global deal teams including both internal business segment and corporate functional teams and external advisors (investment banks, law firms, accounting firms) to ensure appropriate review
* Support the long-term strategic planning processes with 2018high impact2019 analysis for strategic initiatives
* Manage the M&A pipeline and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders
Your Key Capabilities
* Advanced Market Analysis
* Independently and proactively develops points-of-views on new market and product segments and originates, analyzes, values, and proposes potential value creation opportunities
* Demonstrates superior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative)
* Experienced with external data sources such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, etc. as well as synthesizing key insights extracted from analyst reports, market research materials, subject matter expert interviews, and annual reports
* Exceptional Financial Acumen
* Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting practices
* Extensive expertise in financial modeling (discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, investment returns, sensitivity analysis, etc.)
* Project Leadership
* Demonstrated ability to effectively present and explain complex strategic and financial analysis to senior leadership
* Builds network of internal relationships across the global organization
* Creates consistent and concise PowerPoint presentations for leadership teams and other stakeholders; provide analysis and recommendations to assist with strategic decision making
Qualifications Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field is required
* MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
* 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, and/or strategy consulting roles with responsibility for M&A deal model analysis
* Global manufacturing company experience, especially within chemicals, materials or industrial products is preferred
