Position Summary:

The Vice President, Human Resources, Dover Engineered Products provides oversight of all Human Resources activity in the Engineered Products Segment, comprised of six Operating Company segments with a total combined global revenue of $2 billion. As part of the Segment leadership team, this individual will provide a cohesive HR management platform to help the Operating Companies achieve their objectives. Most of the HR talent is embedded in the Operating Companies supported by Corporate Centers of Expertise and therefore, is a highly matrixed environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Organization design & development to support business growth.
* Culture development strengthen company identity based on strong business results, integration, respect for employees at all levels, pay for performance, shared success, accountability, recognition and company pride; help to mitigate issues resulting from ongoing acquisitions.
* Design and deploy enterprise initiatives as part of the global HR Council, participate in the design of strategic enterprise initiatives, and then lead the deployment of those initiatives throughout your segment operating companies.
* Acquisitions/Integration Support contribute to due diligence; accelerate integration and create synergy and efficiency of HR strategy, policies, plans, practices.
* Coaching reinforce appropriate leadership behaviors, especially across the bands of Operating Company Presidents and their senior management teams.
* Communications drive all of the above with clear communications.
* HR Process improvement devise or improve efficient HR practices, and bring financial discipline to the procurement and use of resources.
* Performance management Extend Success Factors (or other solution) into middle management levels in support of performance management and employee development.
* Talent acquisition support the broad upgrade already underway.
* Compensation reinforce practices that are rational, related to the business goals, and well communicated (focus is on senior management within the operating companies).
* Employee/Labor Relations Help foster productive, accountable, defensible work environments.
* External Relationships Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.

Key Relationships:

* Operating Company Presidents.
* Global Human Resources Council.
* Peer segment HR Vice Presidents.
* Segment CFOs.

Background Requirements:

At least 15 years of experience in a global HR environment, with companies known for having best-in-class practices.

* Global HR experience in a global industrial manufacturing environment. Having lived and worked overseas is a plus.
* A proven track record in organization development and talent development.
* A proven track record as a business partner, with demonstrated influencing skills.
* Significant experience in a manufacturing environment, with both labor relations and union avoidance experience preferred.
* Experience translating business initiatives into clear, consistent HR strategies to support them.
* Must have a nose for talent and an ability to recognize the potential of individuals.
* Pervious M&A due diligence and integration experience is desired.
* Experience in promoting D&I initiatives.

Educational Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree in business related field.
* MBA or Masters degree preferred.

Travel Requirements:

* Travel both domestically and internationally as required (25+%).
