Job Title: Senior Product Engineer

Location: Keosauqua, IA

What were looking for:

We are looking for an experienced product engineer who will be an active participant in the preparation, evaluation and reporting of critical performance data for Dover Food Retail Food Display products. This role will be responsible for applying scientific method to evaluate hypothesis, create test plan, test methodology, and conclusions. Applications will include engineering projects supporting current product as well as continuous improvement activities. This person will be joining a dynamic environment with a wide array of projects.

What youll be responsible for in this role:

* Research, analyze and plan the product design in accordance with product requirements as established from various sources including product management, manufacturing, test lab, and customer specification documents.
* Become the SME for refrigeration design within the Iowa engineering organization
* Acts as a lead in driving corrective actions in the field as they relate to product performance.
* Investigate customer complaints, determine root cause and propose solutions.
* Work with the product engineering team to conceptualize and implement improvements to existing products for performance improvements
* Inform and train team members as required
* Act as mentor for junior level engineering staff

What are the basic qualifications?

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in HVAC/R
* 10+ years experience in the HVAC/R
* 5+ years experience in product design or sustaining engineering

What are the preferred qualifications?

* Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in HVAC/R
* Refrigeration theory and application a plus.
* Supermarket refrigeration system overall understanding and component knowledge preferred but not required.
* Good aptitude with FMEA, FEA, CFD tools is a plus
* 5+ years in the supermarket refrigeration industry.
