This position reports to the Director, IT to support the strategies and initiatives of the Information Technology Department.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Provides technical expertise, recommendations and custom applications for IT software projects and initiatives supporting current systems.
* Writes technical procedures and documentation for all applications as required and directed.
* Identifies opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
* Investigates and resolves application functionality related issues.
* Provides first level troubleshooting, modification and support of current systems.
* Assist in managing outsourced relationships for 3rd party application development and programming consultants.
* Assist network administrator with application installation and testing.
* Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.
* Analyzes corporate database data to identify and recommend solutions to data integrity issues using existing and or proposed systems.
* Engages with all departments to understand IT needs for the identification, prioritization and implementation of strategic IT projects.
* Participates in department meetings and project steering committees as required and directed.
* Other essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
* This position is also responsible for, with authority to follow ISO procedures, initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute to problem solutions, verify implementation of solutions, control further processing when a problem is identified, protect the environment, including preventing pollution, analyzing or identifying areas for correction or improvement.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Required: Bachelors degree in computer related field, IT apprenticeship installing and supporting PC and laptop hardware and software & 3-5 years of related experience and or training. Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ERP concepts (Epicor knowledge a plus) and/or Equivalent combination of education and experience
* Preferred: Languages C, VBA, VB; Applications Visual Studio, Microsoft Operating Systems and Office knowledge, Windows and VMWare
* Power Automation, Power BI and Boomi Integration knowledge preferred
* Must be able to travel as required and /or directed.
