The Opportunity

The Manager role supports the product management and related operations with analysis, best practice's research, and routine monitoring of key process indicators. The Manager also serves as project lead and ongoing advisor for specific functions in product delivery and product life cycle initiatives. They may manage a team of product analysts providing supervision, guidance, and support of daily operations and special projects.

The Work Itself

Customer Advocate: Understands the needs of the business buying the product and selects a feature set that is most valuable to the end-users

Communicator: Communicates the vision and intent deferring detailed feature and design decisions to be made just-in-time

Business Advocate: Understands the need by the organization to pay for the construction or implementation and selects a mix of features that serve their goals

End-User Advocate: Describes the product with an understanding of users and use, and a product that best serves both

Subject Matter Authority: Learns the domain well enough to envision a product; answers technical questions on the domain for those creating the product

Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to guide the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization

Leads the product lifecycle process based on knowledge of business goals serves as driver of product direction across multiple teams and verticals

Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines achievements and deliverables, and ensures a constant stream of work for the agile teams

Utilize data insights to drive direction and evolution of product and obtain buy in from leadership

Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including epics, user stories, and acceptance test criteria

The Skills You Bring

* Bachelors degree in business, technology or operations
* 3+ years leadership experience preferred
* At least 3 years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development
* Experience working with Agile technical teams, bridging the gap between team, stakeholders, and business partners
* Experience in underwriter operations or contract processing operations for an auto finance firm is a plus
