Job Summary

The Senior Systems Analyst - Testing Lead understands business processes, process analysis/management, and IT managed service requirements. Provides high level thought leadership on testing strategy across portfolio, while driving automation to reduce overall complexity and cost. Ensures the IT Outsourcer is meeting delivery expectations and SLAs. This individual will be responsible for executing on the testing strategy and improving our current testing service through innovation, automation, and adherence to best practices.

Position Responsibilities

* Participates in strategy discussions and other business unit discussions to understand and capture high level business needs.
* Communicates status of IT effort and incidents to key business stakeholders proactively.
* Prioritizes requirements with the business stakeholders.
* Understands end to end application environment and works with architects to validate capabilities are being build according to strategic direction
* Oversees IT Outsourcer service management (problem management, issues escalation, and change management).
* Drives innovation and streamlines overall testing process.
* Develop automated scripts against SOAP/REST web services.
* Develop automated scripts at the UI-level using Selenium to facilitate regression testing
* Lead the implementation of the overall automation testing strategy
* Serve as a mentor to other resources on the team in regards of test automation
* Design and construct data-agnostic tests that can be used as reference implementations that others can follow.
* Participate in rapid planning, design, coding, unit testing, and review
* Create test automation strategies that are applicable to DevOps environments (ie: AzureDevOps)
* Creates and distributes quality assurance practices and standards.
* Assist in developing technical documentation; participates in test-plan development, integration and deployment
* Develops operating procedures and user manuals for transition into routine operations
* Oversees and provides guidance to IT Outsourcer for continuous improvement opportunities.
* Assist with tracking and influencing IT Outsourcer service performance and escalation
* Partners with application software vendors on services, system lifecycle and contract/license management
* Supports financial management and forecasting for associated IT costs

Position Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree Required (Computer Science or other degrees)
* 5+ years in Information Technology or relevant experience
* Working knowledge of systems architecture concepts and methodologies.
* Experience working with an outsourced vendor
* Experience in different types of testing: Functional, integration, regression, smoke testing etc.
* Experience in testing .NET, java, SAP, Oracle applications (custom as well as ERP) etc.
* Experience with automated testing frameworks
* Experience with Stress/Load testing tools
* Able to provide key matrices about test coverage, test execution, defect status, issue resolution etc.
* Knowledge of data staging concepts (SQL background) for different environment to help aid integration testing
* Can perform root cause analysis and able provide clear & concise steps to reproduce the defects

Preferred Qualifications

* UI testing experience
* Familiarity with MicroFocus Testing suite
* Understanding of web technologies. Good understanding of multi-tier web application architecture
