Dow Jones is seeking an experienced Head of Strategy & Corporate Development to formulate global business strategy and help steer corporate direction with a strong focus on growth, business innovation and investment opportunities.

We are looking for a talented strategic and operational leader with a partnership-based approach to achieving business goals. Ideal candidates will have deep experience in forging collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, a finely tuned sense of changing market dynamics and a demonstrated ability to balance high-level company priorities while driving effective day to day strategic operations.

In this role you will serve as a proactive and trusted advisor to other members of the senior leadership team while identifying, evaluating and supporting Dow Joness strategic plans and pursuing new growth opportunities. You will support Dow Joness purpose to be the source of truth for decision makers by ensuring alignment of corporate goals and execution while driving strategic initiatives and partnerships forward. This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer of Dow Jones, Almar Latour.

Position Location:

New York, NY (work within EST timezone in 2021)

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

* Partner with the CEO and DJ Leadership to define and realize the vision: Creating the worlds leading business information platform
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders across our Consumer, Professional Communities and Professional Information businesses to:

* Find new opportunities for Dow Jones including M&A investments

* Identify paths to deliver on our goal of doubling our business in five years

* Create and build models for organic and inorganic growth opportunities

* Establish the model to accelerate Dow Jones customer centricity

* Analyze customer feedback, experience, and potential customer needs to inform strategic projects

* Serve as a partner to our parent company, News Corp on strategic initiatives

* Engage in a data driven approach to inform strategy

* Challenge conventional wisdom; serve as a sounding board and sparring partner to CEO and other key execs

* Live-map the competitive environment and create competitive benchmarks

* Evaluate and interpret market shifts, long term trends, competitive and customer intelligence to inform strategic business decisions

* Articulate and drive strategic plans across the organization to insure our plans, investments, partnerships, and affiliations are effectively executed to realize the intended outcomes.

* Drive action on strategy decisions across the organization

* Coordinate the delivery of strategic initiatives with Chief of Staff, CFO, CHRO and Head of Communications

Experience/Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Business or a related field from an accredited college or university required
* MBA or equivalent degree preferred

* 15+ years of strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership and/or transformation projects in a dynamic and fluid environment

* Experience in strategic consultancy, banking and/or within a corporate strategy or related function

* Media industry experience desired

* Highly analytical, with strong quantitative/commercial aptitude

* Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment across research projects, data analysis and coordination with the executive team

* Must possess exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
