You're empowered to do your best by supporting the Business Initiatives Team. The Sr. Project Manager II will be responsible for the coordination and completion of project across Optum Financial. He or she provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise. Candidate's work is self-directed and not prescribed, focused on less structured, more complex issues. Serves as a resource to others, and is fully proficient in the following aspects of project management.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document)
* Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g., labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources (e.g., resource managers, project managers, application planners, system architects)
* Develop/contribute to project budgets and forecasts, obtaining approvals from applicable stakeholders (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, capital planning, staffing impact analysis/assessment)
* Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with input from applicable stakeholders (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)
* Develop, document and implement project communication plans
* Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others, acts as a resource for others with less experience

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
* 6+ years' experience as a Project Manager
* 4+ years' experience executing projects in a matrixed organization
* 4+ years' experience communication with and presenting to senior/executive leadership
* 4+ years' experience with gaining acceptance for ideas, plans, actions and then implement across org boundaries
* Proficiency with MS Excel (advanced+)
* Proficiency with MS PowerPoint (advanced+)
* Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
* Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
* Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
* Ability to work both business leadership and technical teams, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location

Preferred Qualifications:

* Financial Services / FinTech / Healthcare experience
* Proficiency with MS Teams
* Proficiency with MS Project
* Proficiency with MS SharePoint
* Experience managing scope, change, budget, and risk
* Experience identifying solutions to non-standard requests/problems
* Experience working in an Agile development environment
