Job Description
Transcribes medical dictation by physicians and other medical practitioners pertaining to patients assessment, diagnostics, therapy, and other medical reports. Assists physician(s) in the delivery of quality medical care. Assists with the process of physician referrals and ordering labs and radiology for patients. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and experience and knowledge of clinical setting. Performs a variety of tasks. High school diploma required. Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification through NHA or AAMA preferred. Three to six months experience to become proficient in job duties.

Possibly exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials. Requires constant standing, hearing, speaking, vision, balancing and grasping, fingering, feeling and repetitive hand movement. Requires frequent lifting/carrying of 25lbs. to 50 lbs. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.
