As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk or Independent Risk Management provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.
Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) is hiring three IT&V Officers to provide day-to-day support to and oversight of key regulatory and audit commitments and related deliverables. These three roles will report directly to the Head of IT&Vs Regulatory, Audit and Issue Management group and be primarily responsible for providing horizontal expertise and challenge during the development and execution of testing activities and other corrective actions associated with key regulatory and audit commitments to ensure deliverables are:
* High quality and undergo appropriate quality reviews to confirm adherence to applicable policy and procedural requirements and expectations
* Adequately and sustainably address risks and root causes
* Adequately and sustainably meet defined success criteria and expectations relative to corrective actions and commitments
* Routinely monitored to ensure timely completion pursuant to corrective action plans and commitments, and results are effectively communicated
The IT&V Officers will work with Sr. Directors and other key stakeholders across IT&V, as well as partners outside of IT&V (including Internal Audit), and establish processes that create clarity around success criteria, expectations and position deliverables for successful completion, closure and independent validation. Further, the IT&V Officers will lead/facilitate, engage key stakeholders, and actively participate in all Internal Audit and Regulator validation activities associated with the deliverables.
Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management
* 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, examiner or compliance testing
* 3+ years of experience presenting to regulators and creating materials for regulatory deliverables
Desired Qualifications
* Experience performing quality assurance audits
* Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations
* Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
* Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

* Experience in managing and executing regulatory/audit commitments, issues, and related action plans
* One or more of the following certifications is desired:
* Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)

* Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
