This position is responsible for working with the Optum Human Capital teams and matrixed Human Capital/Workforce Analytics teams to build and deliver upon the Human Capital strategy supporting Optum's growth agenda. This includes building new reporting and data visualization solutions as well as modifying existing solutions. The position leads the reporting team that develop solutions and requirements to further Human Capital strategy and decision-making capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Work collaboratively with human capital and business leaders in the design, development and implementation of standard reporting solutions, data visualizations, and ad-hoc reports related to the organization's workforce
* Ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from key stakeholders
* Lead global reporting solutions team including setting goals, coaching, and assessing performance
* Collaborates with other work stream partners and provides direction on priorities of product and process deliverables
* Manage deliverable risks and issues while adhering to timelines
* Provide timely written/verbal communications regarding process progress including deliverables, significant milestones, risks and mitigation strategies to the leadership team
* Continuously drive and champion innovative operational process improvement through ongoing and systematic review of existing structures, workflows, processes and procedures
* Challenge the status quo by taking a leadership role in fostering a quality improvement mindset
* Evaluate available data to identify and develop practical alternatives to complex requirements for understanding the workforce. Summarize conclusions and recommendations. Present pros and cons of recommendations to leadership and drive solution execution as needed

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Capital or related field or equivalent work experience
* 5 or more years of experience in gathering requirements and being a liaison between Data Developers/Engineers and Reporting Solution Analysts
* Experience designing data visualizations and reporting and dashboard solutions
* 5 or more years of experience reporting on structured data
* Previous experience recommending and implementing process improvements and technologies to aid in creating reports and dashboards that allows more actionable information to be provided to senior leaders and executives
* Proven experience driving projects through to completion and solve complex problems while being confronted with tight timelines
* Experience communicating both verbally/written and capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts/tactics

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Domo
* Experience with Alteryx
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS
* Knowledge of Hadoop environments
* Experience balancing multiple priorities and navigating a complex shared service environment

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
