POSITION SUMMARY:
This person will work cross functionally with various business units to protect the core business, expand and grow with core and new customers, identify and create a competitive advantage to ensure optimal product mix in a given geography and/or assigned customers. In addition, this person will lead a direct Regional Team in pursuit of corporate and division sales objectives and Team Member personal development.
Essential duties and Responsibilities :
* Develop and cultivate professional relationships with key customers within specific markets.
* Work directly with customers to offer valuable solutions, by implementation of sales strategies resulting in increased product knowledge and sales growth.
* Manage, through a direct sales team, all customer initiatives and needs. Maintain and further develop relationships to achieve business objectives.
* Lead, coach and manage a direct Regional Tyson Sales Team to deliver sales plan objectives.
* Achieve sales plan through volume growth plans, managing customers, marketing programs, expenses, deduction resolution (as needed), category management, and business reviews with customers.
* Other duties include, but not limited to, creation and execution against a list of assigned customers, develop new customers, maintain and track progress using the CRM tool, ensure customer sales support for customer events, meetings/presentations, and product sampling.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
* Experience: Minimum five (5) years sales experience Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales.
* Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office products.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Special Skills: Strategic thinking, solution oriented, negotiation skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills and conflict resolution skills.
* Travel: 30-50%
