Location/Division Specific Information

Increased innovation, along with substantial growth in the Life Sciences business, has resulted in the need for a new Customer Onboarding Advocate Team, reporting into the Commercial Data Management located in Grand Island, NY.

How will you make an impact?

The individual in this role will be part of building an exciting new team that provides a 2018White Glove2019 experience to new Customers. Your interactions and ability to provide exceptional service offerings will help establish a valued relationship between new Customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

What will you do?

* Be an advocate to new Customers while they onboard and learn to navigate our many company resources.
* Role scope covers end to end workflow from gathering information on new customers to sending customer 2018Welcome2019 communications.
* Utilize new account reports, website, and knowledge base resources to seek out customer data and prepare personalized Welcome communications to new Customers.
* Establish new relationships with Customers in a more personalized manner.
* Act as a 201Cone-stop shop201D for providing new Customers with access to our numerous business resources.
* Provide Single location for information about account, orders, products, learning resources, support, etc.
* Create a delightful Customer experience that engages the Customer to want to explore what we have to offer.
* Engage with Team Mailbox and respond to new Customer enquiries, providing a 2018warm2019 transfer to other business channels when necessary.
* Collaborate when needed with internal support teams.
* Follow established quality standards and meet processing time standards.
* Provide data for KPI capture and metric reporting.

How will you get here?

Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

* 2+ years or related Customer Service experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One (E1) and SAP software preferred
* Working knowledge of Customer Web Registrations would be an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

* Must demonstrate working knowledge of personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Experience handling the complexities of a shared Microsoft Outlook mailbox.
* Must demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers as well the ability to handle confidential and/or proprietary information.
* Initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable to ensure good customer service.
* Strong listening skills, always keeping the customer in mind.
* Exhibits a high degree of self-awareness, empathy, listening, active curiosity, awareness of different norms and expectations.
* Good problem-solving skills: ability to seek out information and take ownership of an issue.
* Ability to work with many different types of personalities.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and strong teamwork, work ethic and organizational skills.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and can work easily under pressure to meet deadlines.
* This position requires repetitive typing, considerable interaction in a Team Mailbox, possible interactions on the telephone and regular viewing of a computer monitor.
