Job Description

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Lean Process Analyst will manage and guide the Companys continuous improvement journey to improve its services and processes through the use of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. This position is responsible for understanding the current process state, identifying efficiency/improvement opportunities, and leading cross-functional team members to drive process improvements tied to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the business. This position interacts closely with the Quality and Engineering teams and requires problem solving skills and technical knowledge / experience with Lean, Six Sigma and the DMAIC process.

Nature of Duties

* Identifies, plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma)
* Train team members on the tools and techniques of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principals, and incorporate it into the culture
* Diagrams and evaluates existing processes
* Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams
* Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
* Collect and analyze data to identify root cause of problems
* Measures performance against process requirements
* Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls
* Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality
* May deliver presentation and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control
* Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes
* Communicates team progress
* Performs cost and benefit analyses
* Assist NPI teams by using quality methods, statistical analysis, etc. to assure timely and effective launch of new product initiatives

Education and Experience

* The ideal candidate will have-8+ years of related work experience
* Experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Methodology required
* Bachelors Degree in engineering or related technical field preferred
* Six-Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
* Current CQE Certification a plus
* Strong Project Management Skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and Visio
* Experience with data analysis software, such as Minitab
* Experience with Advance Quality Planning (flowcharts, FMEAs, control plans)
* ISO 9001 or equivalent experience preferred
* Experience in an ISO13485/GMP environment a plus
