Job Description

The Manager, Asset Management Trends Research will be an important member of the Synthesis & Knowledge Management team responsible for infusing marketing competitive intelligence, macro trends and audience specific knowledge into our approach and thought process to generating insights, as well as our interpretation of data and storytelling. This individual will act as the subject matter expert on a key set of constituents for Prudential, asset managers, institutional investors and financial advisors, and proactively serve as a trusted advisor to the PGIM Insights Consultant on the key competitive positionings, macro trends and existing knowledgebase for that specific audience.

Job Responsibilities

* Bring an outside-in perspective by infusing an understanding of the audience, macro and competitive trends to inform decision making for our PGIM asset management businesses.
* Work with the VP of Synthesis and Knowledge and PGIM Insights Consultant to deliver on a marketing competitive intelligence learning plan that will help drive differentiation in PGIM brand, engagement and experience.
* Collaborate with PGIM Insights consultant to fine tune learning agenda and research objectives by leveraging existing knowledge inside and outside the company.
* Complement primary research data with secondary and competitive intelligence to arrive at audience centric and market/contextually relevant insights that solve for the business objectives.
* Work with the Synthesis and Knowledge Management team to develop a learning plan for the specific audience and stay abreast of all published research and the latest trends impacting the audience.
* Support the PGIM Insights Consultant on all facets of programmatic/ syndicated research initiatives designed to serve as a key knowledgebase for PGIM, including all published research and subscriptions. Democratize insights through internal marketing information system.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree required, advanced degree a plus.
* 5+ years of overall work experience. Market research, competitive intelligence experience, or trends analysis strongly preferred. Asset management industry experience a plus.
* 3+ years of work experience in a marketing discipline (i.e. market research, advertising, customer experience, brand management, competitive intelligence) or experience in strategic initiatives or projects targeting financial advisors or institutional investors.
* Adept at working with quantitative and qualitative data and translating data into impactful insights, integrating different data sources.
* Excellent writer and storyteller with a demonstrated ability to deliver actionable insights succinctly, in a compelling and engaging way.
* Superb inductive reasoning ability, with exceptional critical thinking, pattern recognition skills and detail orientation.
* A learner with an inquisitive nature and a thirst for knowledge.
* A collaborative team player who learns quickly and can act independently.
* Willingness and ability to work across global time zones via technology-enabled communication channels.
