Job Description

TITLE: Senior Specialist, Systems Development (The Prudential Insurance Company of America)

LOCATION: Newark, NJ

DUTIES: Design and develop modularized, reusable test automation framework that works on heterogeneous data sources (flat file, tables, hive, hadoop file system) for the big data system. Develop Continuous Integration pipeline with built tool, jenkins and scheduler tool autosys with enterprise artifactory. Create and execute test scripts for NoSQL databases, streaming application for real time analytics projects. Design and develop behaviour driven automation framework for quality evaluation of multiple projects that use recommendation engine and predictive algorithm. Troubleshoot data issues, root cause analysis, recommendations, test plans and implement solutions. Plan and execute load tests, benchmark systems, analyze bottlenecks, and propose solutions. Participate in automation code reviews and defect triage. Provide knowledge sharing sessions to internal and external team members on best practices for test automation for Big Data System, Data Science Models. Quality evaluation of Hadoop and related ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive, Mapreduce, Spark, Pig, Sqoop). Leverage PySpark, PytestBDD, and RDBMS, Java Python, Scala, and Shell for developing test automation frameworks. Create automated VRT (Visual Regression Testing) with Backstop JS and Puppeteer for front end applications. Responsible for tracking code Coverage metrics generation. Work in Docker and use an enterprise created image with dependencies copied into it to perform automation testing for front end applications. Leverage Tunnel connection feature from Saucelabs and implement testing on local host with docker to ensure early defect detection in different screen resolution in the software life cycle. Integrate Sonarqube and Checkmarx in the build process and perform end to end development and testing in a single code. Create end to end test automation framework for NodeJS based applications using Protractor with jasmine reporter.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Technology, Engineering or a related field. Must have seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered, as a Senior Associate, Associate Projects, or a related position. Must have seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience with: Selenium; Scrum; Salesforce; Postman; Core Java; PL/SQL; HP ALM; Jira; Oracle Database; Windows 10; Database Test Automation; Test Estimation, Plan, and Test Script Creation; HTML; Xml; Unix; IOS; Android; and CSS.

HOURS: 37.5 hours/week
