Prudentials Sourcing and Workforce Solutions (SWS) team empowers Prudential globally to drive the greatest value by leveraging supplier partnerships. SWS provides our internal business partners with easy access to technology products and services at the greatest value through business insights, market knowledge, seamless and efficient processes, and professional expertise.
As the Director of Technology Supplier Management, you will not only be responsible for managing relationships with a number of our key global suppliers to drive enterprise value, often closely involved in the execution of big deals, focused on labor, infrastructure and services. This entails assisting suppliers to market the right capabilities to business units, monitor and track performance, and drive continuous improvement/Innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and cultivate bold diverse ideas when developing supplier strategies informed by market intelligence that ensure business alignment, foster tech forward solutions and deliver both value and savings
* Be accountable for leading negotiations with assigned suppliers that yield the right outcome, ensuring compliant contracting, performance management and issue resolution
* Manage suppliers in the portfolio, using effective management techniques and tools
* Support Internal and External Operational Governance processes in partnership with business stakeholders and SWS due diligence team members
* Manage performance, assuring the right metrics are measured and metrics
* Create insights relative to supplier management and performance based on data and convey them consistently and clearly to business partners
* Interact effectively with business partners, serving as a change agent who moves the dial on supplier performance by identifying, recommending and implementing change based on business needs and enterprise sourcing strategy.
* Effectively manage suppliers in the portfolio
* Invest time and effort to stay current with industry best practices and helping drive implementation of best practices within SWS and Prudential.
* Act with integrity, lead inclusively and drive higher performance when working with all stakeholdersthe business, Global technology colleagues and other members of the SWS team.
Qualifications:
* Eight or more years of experience in relationship management, deal structuring vendor management and procurement in leading technology sourcing organizations. Experience in sourcing, vendor management, vendor governance and / or knowledge of risk policies and processes is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in business or a similar discipline, MBA a plus
* Superior analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw supportable conclusions.
* Strong conceptual thinking skills with the ability to guide others through ambiguous and/or complex issues.
* Extensive experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groups.
* Superior influencing skills to help stakeholders work effectively with suppliers and embrace sourcing recommendations
* Superior contract/vendor negotiation preparation and execution skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and knowledge of business requirement and project management principles and methodology.
