Job Description

The Color Data Analyst will facilitate the storage and distribution of Architectural Coatings color formulas for US and Canadian manufacturing and retail outlets. The role is critical to deliver accurate color recipes to the point of sale in a timely fashion. This function is a vital part of any new Architectural Coatings product launch and plays a crucial role in any assortment changes to PPG paints, stains, or color offerings!

Key Responsibilities:

* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team and to accurately and consistently execute tasks according to project timelines.
* Communicate effectively and work closely with other groups to coordinate the development of new systems and test improvements.
* Ability to coordinate color matching projects and to generate, distribute, and manage color formula databases.
* Working working closely with account teams to set the scope for the project and working with chemists and technicians to complete laboratory work.
* Demonstrate proficiency with multiple different data management systems to distribute color formulas across multiple sales channels that could include PPG Paints stores, dealers, and/or big box retail centers.

Qualifications:

* A four year degree with relevant data management and/or architectural coatings experience is preferred.
* Strong data manipulation skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and other relational databases (Oracle & SQL) is required.
* Demonstrate the ability to research problems independently and make recommendations for resolution, is able to identify and implement improvements to existing processes, and can use existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.
* Familiarity with PPGs market channels and a general understanding of paint and color matching is a plus.
