The Senior Manager, Import/Export Operations will support international freight management execution and strategy for the foods and beverages operations at PepsiCo and will report to the North America Inbound Transportation Director.
Responsible for:
* This senior manager will oversee PepsiCos ocean transportation
* Develop, implement, and continuously enhance ocean import/export operational procedures
* Map company process flows and continuously review to identify efficiency gains
* Establish and manage strong relationships with domestic and global counterparts and stakeholders
* Manage relationship with PepsiCo freight forwarder
* Support in the strategic growth and network of ocean and dray carriers
* Resolve port, container freight stations, and carrier concerns
* Optimize clients end-to-end transportation solutions
* Stay current with developments and changes in applicable laws, regulations and other government requirements
* Manage compliance with applicable regulations, other government requirements and filings, and company standards
* Assist in the recruitment and development of best in class ocean import/export professionals as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
* Education:
* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field
* MBA preferred
* Experience:
* 8-10 years of experience
* Experience at a freight forwarder is preferred
* 5+ of Ocean Freight Forwarding and NVOCC experience preferred
* This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
* Skillset:
* Executive communication skills needed
* Proven ability to establish and enhance import/export operational functions
* Comprehension of applicable laws, regulations and other government requirements
* Seeking a candidate who is proactive, positive, and detail-oriented
