Job Description
The leader has a critical role in the implementation of a market-wide digital tagging & coding operation, inclusive of content, web, and tracking tagging strategies enabled by AI and machine learning capabilities. The right leader will enable and scale a complex interdependent, multi-faceted tagging & coding operation that ties together all three pillars of digital transformation people, process, and technology.
The content tagging & coding operation is one of the most critical strategic prioritized projects for 2021 and will propel our Company into a new era of content personalization leveraging machine learning. This is a unique and exciting opportunity that will transform the way we evaluate, plan and create content across all of US brands and digital channels. S/he will also be responsible for working collaboratively with Global organization to help them strategize the use case for this new technology.
This leader will be a part of a team that works intimately with the digital analytics team, internal stakeholders, third party vendors and IT to guide, gather and support all the digital analytics requirements to ensure the digital tagging & content operation will propel our Company into the leadership position in the pharma industry
Primary Responsibilities
* Take full ownership and responsibility of the tagging and coding including AI and Machine Learning program by collaborating with other stakeholders and lead the conversation in digital transformation support through data
* Manage and develop our Company's talent and work effectively with external/outsourced contactors in order to move the project forward smoothly
* A strong independent leader who can enable and scale new technologies and capabilities to enable digital tagging & coding with minimal supervision in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. Set vision and direction, get alignment across multiple departments and stakeholders, assess and optimize already launched process.
* Navigate the organization with little to no supervision and able to bring others along the journey.
* Proactively coordinate tagging data needs and requirements across multiple systems and stakeholders and business owners (i.e. Analytics group, DETs/Brands etc.) efficient and accurate deliverables through implementation, conduct quality assurance, and control of the process and the data prior to the product launch.
* Create short and long-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources by collaborating across business stakeholders with a heavy focus on tagging roll out
* Identify, source, and direct a team of external contractors and/or internal teams as required by the project
* Set standard and governance for the new program and oversee roll-out plan including change management, training and adoption, and continuous improvement efforts and strategy for the new process
* Identify and manage potential risk and liabilities of multiple projects and make several options of recommendation on the next steps on how to progress the project
* Evaluate the performance of internal and external contractors throughout the project process and raise any risks at the appropriate time with identified resolutions to keep the project on course.
* Motivate and support the staff properly to complete the task on time
* Serve as a part of the core team to assist and define project scope, goals, and milestones
* Serve as the point of contact (POC) for the teams to ensure team actions remain in synergy
* Communicate with executives and sponsors to keep the project aligned with goals
* Devise a hand off plan as a part of the implementation to ensure that all roles and responsibilities are clearly identified and understood by the new owners of the business capabilities
Key Requirements/Skills
* Must have experience in effectively managing manger level, highly skilled employees and contractors
* Must feel comfortable working in a remote environment
* Experience working with Marketing Sponsors, Content Creators, Web Designers, IT, and Analytics Organizations to identify business and analytic requirements.
* Strong working knowledge or experience with data, data collection, integration of platforms, and operationalization of new technology including tagging structures, tagging managers i.e. Tealium, Google Analytics, CRM, Content Management Systems, and other Components of a Digital Marketing Ecosystem.
* Proven record of managing big complex projects into fruition on time without sacrificing quality.
* Familiar with AI and machine learning techniques and their application to tagging & coding.
* Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
* Ability to Identify and Scale Best Practices throughout an Organization.
* An experienced storyteller who is able to take a complex project and simplify it so that non-technical stakeholders can easily digest the information.
* Working knowledge of Marketing Automation and CRM.
* Experience in product launches, hyper care, and sunsetting capabilities no longer needed.
* Experienced leader who can evaluate the performance of internal and external stakeholders throughout the project process and raise any risks at the appropriate time with identified resolutions to keep the project back in course.
* Agile practitioner, who provides the opportunity to test and provide feedback throughout the project in order to pivot midstream if needed
* Create a strong partnership with Global counterparts
Required education and experience:
* An undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, information technology Related Field
* Understanding of Google Analytics, Tableau, or other Analytics & Visualization Platforms and how they fit into the Tagging Lifecycle including working Knowledge of Tealium, Google Analytics and/or other Tag Management Software
* Working Knowledge of CRM & Content Management Software
* Expert Ability to Convert Brand and Marketing Strategies and Measurement Requirements into Technical Requirements
* Working Knowledge of Asset Development Lifecycles & Practices
* 5+ Years Experience Project Implementation, Marketing Program Management, Content Analytics or Campaign Management
* 5 years direct people management experience with responsibility for performance management, talent development, and coaching.
* High digital IQ and professionalism
* Strong leader/manager who has managed and coached both individual contributors and teams effectively by setting clear goals/directions/expectations upfront and throughout the project
* An MBA or Advanced Degree
Preferred education and experience:
* Experience working at a third-party execution vendor or content management
* Global experience
