The Portfolio Manager is part of the practice success team responsible for developing a portfolio of Network solutions and services to provider practices by coordinating with multiple product/business line owners to establish, rationalize and maintain the portfolio. They partner with the practice successs team for requesting new initiatives that impacts the Network portfolio, provides guidance and advice on how to frame, define, approve, and launch new projects. They also define requirements for project scoping, business requirements documentation, technology needs, status and issue tracking
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and support the prioritization and management of Networks product, program and project portfolio.
* Interacts daily with portfolio management team. Assist the development of planning and information gathering for portfolio management teams.
* Provides day-to-day administrative direction and assist in oversight of key technology/information systems and general support activities.
* Part of the team that is accountable for the solution and issue tracking related to the scope, schedule and budget of new projects impacting the portfolio execution at the Network level.
* Coordinates and creates playbooks for portfolio management and execution that are repeatable and predictable and maintains a repository of approved business cases, new project plans, and deliverables to be repurposed in the future.
* Works on complex issues of diverse scope. Coordinates the activity of the portfolio management organization through utilizing operational policies to obtain solutions.
* Works with product specialists and other subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet portfolio needs
* Ensure the oversight, awareness and coordination of dependencies across the projects in the portfolio; partner cross functionally to resolve and/or escalate identified conflicts
* Accurately report project, portfolio and key strategic initiative status and effectiveness and document key findings from all engagements.
* Ensure that success of the overall portfolio by partnering with product/business line owners and shared services groups to drive adoption, communication, training and change management across various initiatives.
* Assist in the development of dashboards, reports for both McKesson and practice views and conduct regular business reviews with multiple McKesson product/business line groups to align, adjust and update portfolio needs and execution plans
* Facilitate regular cross-functional interactions to ensure alignment on deliverables, timelines and status. Examples of cross functional partners include product teams, compliance, legal, brand, change management. Bring a strong sense of execution and ownership
* Frequently interacts with portfolio management team members, outside customers, and functional peer groups at management levels to drive the development of multiple product definition and solution plans to optimize the companys products and services portfolio.
Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two (2) years experience in product and/or portfolio management in Healthcare
Experience in project/program management preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
