The Challenge:

Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the DoDs readiness and training mission? Were looking for a systems administrator on our project that can constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies as you execute system administration and desktop support projects, including desktop troubleshooting, network troubleshooting, and peripheral support. You will be asked to create and maintain websites, including establishing and enforcing organization standards and permissions to ensure data stability. You will also work closely with team members concerning changes to network security measures and protocols. Work with end-users to develop an understanding of the needs and uses of their PCs, including hardware, software, and printers. Analyze and diagnose problems reported by end-users. Track and update all problem calls through the corporate tracking system.

Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Youll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like cloud computing and working within Amazon's AWS. We focus on growing as a team, so youll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, youll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You Have:

* 3 years of experience with system administration using Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 7 environment
* 3 years of experience with using SharePoint or Microsoft Office Products
* 1 year of experience with vSphere virtual environment, including virtual servers, virtual switching, and management
* Experience with Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy Objects (GPO's)
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including configuration, data security, backup management, and optimization
* Experience with DNS administration or troubleshooting
* Secret clearance
* HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

* Experience with building network solutions within commercial conference sites
* BA or BS degree
* CCNA or CCNP Certification
* Security+ and A+ or Network+ Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
