Job overview
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the quality efforts in both Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) for the business to ensure customer satisfaction. This person will partner with customers and production in addressing quality questions, problems, provide recommendations, establish, and monitor corrective actions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the deputy to the Plant Quality Manager and serve as liaison when the PQM is off site
Maintains ISO/NADCAP/AS-9100 registrations, as applicable
Supports the Plant Quality Manager (PQM) in internal/external audits and the resolution of any findings from such
Drives reduction in COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)
Manages non-conformance disposition and trend analysis. Writes reports including the generation and analysis of statistical data
Lead the investigation and resolution of customer complaints utilizing 8D problem solving methodology
Develops and implements corrective actions to address non-conformances identified by audits, customer complaints and KPI reviews
Develops quality system procedures and SOPs. Reviews and approves process documentation
Maintains and controls procedures, instructions, and records
Coordinates and/or maintains process gages to ensure calibration and proper operation
Coordinates training schedules for quality programs and maintains training records
Assist in establishing and documenting product quality standards. Responsible for release of and training against those standards
Supervises quality personnel / technicians including training, direction, controlling work procedures, etc. to meet objectives

Qualifications
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
4-8 years of experience working with quality tools and methodologies
Operations management
Must possess organizational skills with the ability to use resource materials to manage multiple projects
Strong data analysis skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications
Engineering degree highly preferred
Experience with ISO/AS quality systems
Six sigma Certification
Management experience with direct reports desired.
