As part of the Software Solutions team from the Automated Transportation and Infrastructure Division, as an intern, you will help us to build software and tools to support the creation of advanced solutions in the space of the Automated Mobile Robots/ Automated Guided Vehicles.
You will work with a great international team of software engineers and architects. This will give you the chance to learn from the experts, complementary to having access to a great collection of learning materials. For this internship we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and fast learner.
Responsibilities will be but not limited to:
* Familiarity with Integration of software components in Docker containers and cloud services
* Writing ROS sample applications to validate integration
* Creation of tutorials in Github, documenting the usage of sample applications
* Performance analysis and benchmarking

Qualifications
Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelors degree with three years related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a Bachelors degree and less than three years experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. We are looking for candidates with exceptional qualifications working on the state of the art Intel platforms.
A minimum 3+ months of experience or equivalent coursework in any of the following areas:
* Linux OS
* Github
* ROS
* C++, Bash, Python
* Azure or AWS ioT
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with edge cloud services
* Machine learning
* Docker
