Job Description
Information System Security Engineer
Key Role:
Develop and implement security solutions in alignment with security strategy. Support security assessment and authorization activities related to cross domain technologies. Apply subject matter expertise to specialized cybersecurity systems, including networking, firewalls, and cross domain guards. Work without considerable direction.
Basic Qualifications:
* Experience with coordinating information system security inspections, assessments, and reviews
* Experience with developing technical security solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities
* Experience with enforcing accountability, access, and special handling requirements
* Experience with developing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols
* Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community security controls, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures
* Ability to convert functional cybersecurity requirements into system requirements
* TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
* BA or BS degree required
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience with Xacta
* Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), anti-virus software, or log management
* Experience with Linux system administration
* MA or MS degree
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
