As a Senior Cybersecurity Manager, you will lead a team of Data Protection Analysts and Engineers to continually mature and operationalize the Truist Data Life Cycle Management (DLCM) program and associated processes. You will be responsible for the overall discovery, classification and tagging of sensitive data to support Data Privacy compliance and enhance the Data Loss Prevention program. Senior Cybersecurity Managers work with virtually all Lines of Business (LOBs), collaborate with a wide variety of other teams throughout the company, and coordinate with vendors on new solution development, operational issues, data classification policy tuning, and contractual licensing agreements.
As a Senior Cybersecurity Manager, you will also be a key player in defining the security roadmap and in executing efforts that address Truist Data Protection capability requirements. Senior Managers must be: effective leaders and communicators; experienced in developing and managing teams; adept in vendor management; and versatile in addressing new challenges that arise as we continue to push risk management forward.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure effective development and execution of task plans to meet all regulatory and compliance commitments related to DLCM.
Manage a team of Data Analytics and Engineers; handle hiring and staff career development needs; mentor teammates; and assign and track tasks to ensure timely delivery.
Develop and strengthen technical controls for identification and protection of sensitive data, and oversee the execution and delivery of DLCM services across the organization.
Build and strengthen relationships across other Cybersecurity teams and across business areas to improve program effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with the Cyber Education and Awareness program and provide input to ensure training and communications for DLCM concerns are meaningful, accurate and timely.
Keep current on emerging technologies to ensure appropriate solutions are considered and promoted to address the ever changing Cybersecurity landscape.
Effectively communicate complex details to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.
Ensure technical and process documentation for new/upgraded systems or components are developed and reviewed/updated regularly.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and six to eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security
Previous experience in leading complex IT projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
2+ years leading and/or managing a Cybersecurity team of engineers/analysts
3+ years working with Cybersecurity DLCM (data discovery, classification, and tagging), DLP or incident response (SOC) toolsets, such as Varonis, TITUS, Informatica Data Privacy Management (DPM), Microsoft AIP, ForcePoint, Symantec, and/or email security gateways
Solid experience implementing and operationalizing Cybersecurity solutions.
Strong knowledge of Data Classification, Data Protection and Data Governance
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong track record for dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile, fast-paced environment
Ability to both work independently on tasks with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a geographically diverse environment.
Strong experience working with diverse business areas in delivering effective DLCM solutions and policies that balance data identification and protection with business data needs
Experience working with and managing vendors relationships for effective solution delivery
Demonstrated ability for sound problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
Technology experience system administration, application development, system integration, database design/development, and other relevant technical skills
Experience with Cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, COBIT, ISA, and ISO
Knowledge of laws and regulations that impact Truist (e.g., FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP, Dodd-Frank, GDPR, CCPA/CCPR, FINRA, NYDFS)
One or more leading Cybersecurity certifications like Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
