Overall Purpose:

This position is typically found in Big Data/CDO and/or customer focused organizations where analysis of Big Data and/or data from multiple sources including internal/external data, data lakes, data warehouses, etc. is critical to the success of the business. Uses advanced skills in the use of predictive modeling, statistics, time series analysis, design of experiments and other data analysis techniques to explain or predict behavior and/or solve a variety of business problems, build business cases after collecting, exploring, and identifying the right data to be analyzed from internal and external sources to and monetize net present value impact from initiatives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

This specific position will be focused on Credit Data Science. Successful candidate will gather, analyze, and interpret a wide variety of data to identify causal relationships, trigger points and ultimately make predictions on customer behavior. Projects may include modeling, churn analysis, customer behavior and segmentation, sales impact analysis, product level analysis and customer experience analysis. Builds predictive credit risk models and churn models and assesses their performance in real-world settings. Statistically designs and analyzes simultaneous trials to compare performance of competing credit risk models, competing fraud risk models and credit policy trials. Quantifies significance of data variances, applies an array of statistical methods ranging from traditional to newly- developing within the Big-Data space. Uses machine learning / AI techniques to build models that support decision making. Able to perform analyses using both structured and unstructured data. Develops reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids in support of findings. Advises business partners with regards to patterns and relationships in data to recommend business direction or outcomes. Must have experience with SAS, R, Python, etc.

Education:

Preferred advanced degree (MS/PhD or equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning and/or Computer Science
