Job Summary
AECOM's US West Region Transit/Rail Division is seeking a Senior Engineer or Planner to manage projects and support the growth and strategy of the transit and rail business in Northern California. The qualified candidate will have experience in the capture and delivery of major planning and engineering transit projects and pursuits throughout Northern California and have established relationships with all transit agencies, transit providers, councils of government and local municipalities within the Northern California area of the region. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Represent Northern California within the Growth and Strategy Leadership Team of the Transit/Rail Division
* Major project PM responsibilities
* Pursuit oversight and capture manager role as necessary
* Develop and coordinate strategic teaming on pursuits as needed
* Pursuit recommendations based on understanding of market, clients, and available staff
* Coordination with California State BD Leads on all pursuits to ensure proper pursuit decisions are made
* Ensure client relations are sound
* Grow Transit/Rail business within Northern California year over year
* Identify and make key hires as necessary for growth of business

The job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Plans, organizes and implements business development activities for an assigned market, geographic territory or region.
* Manages and oversees business development staff.
* Participates in decision-making.
* Works independently to pursue development of new business prospects.
* Assists in the development of proposals and gives presentations to potential clients.
* Generally has business development and/or technical experience, may require hands-on cost proposal development.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience in growth and strategy, and BD activities in the NoCal transit rail business
Preferred Qualifications
1.
* Experience with BART is required
* Experience and proven relationships with transit agencies throughout Northern California
