This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

The person hired for the position of Project Management Office Manager will be accountable for deployment of cost saving and process improvements in collaboration with an outside consultant and cross functional teams across the company. Responsibilities include working with indirect and direct category leadership and team members on improvement opportunities, coordinating weekly updates on multiple projects, assessing timeline and resource needs.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Consult with the Sourcing Senior Vice President and Souring Leadership Team to define cost savings plans and process improvements in alignment with an outside consultant and cross functional teams strategic direction.
* Interpret industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to help prioritize project activities.
* Responsibility includes interacting with several departments within sourcing areas, functional departments, business groups and United States and Canada Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
* Establish KPIs and process metrics and monitoring
* Owns consultant proposal project hopper.
* Create solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.
* Apply knowledge of different techniques and practices to achieve desired results.
* Utilize resources across work areas, departments and businesses to create solutions. Most complex problem solving may require determining solutions for problems that may require in-depth interpretation and analysis for significantly different situations.

Your skills and Experience:

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
* Ten (10) years of Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, or Project Management experience
* Experience working in, leading, and influencing cross-functional teams

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

* Masters degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
* Experience working with senior executive leadership
* Prior Supervisory experience
* Experience in raw material/outsource manufacturing strategic supply management and negotiation

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 10%

Relocation: Is not authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
