Title: Account Manager, Rental - 72298

Your Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, Rental for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in Moline, IL, you will manage the direct sales to assigned, targeted mid-to-large independent rental companies. Within this role, you will be responsible to gain a preferred supplier status to assigned rental accounts by working with their local, regional, and corporate managers. In addition, you will:

* Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, handling the commercial relationship
* Negotiate annual price and terms with senior management of assigned accounts
* Manage the terms of the agreement
* Prepare construction equipment and commercial worksite product proposals and product quotes, which require interface with customers, factories, suppliers, dealers, and various departments within C&F and potentially other products
* Lead account team on assigned accounts

What Skills You Need

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present Deere's value to a local rental branch manager as well as a senior manager
* 3 or more years of sales or sales related experience
* Experience working with large customers
* Detail-oriented, with the ability to problem-solve
* Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
* Demonstrated skills in working independently with personal accountability
* Working knowledge of Construction and CWP Equipment; A&T Equipment
* Ability to conduct machine walk-around and basic operation demonstrations
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50-75% of the time
* Ability to occasionally work off hours, to meet customer demands/needs

What Makes You Stand Out

* Thorough knowledge of Construction and Compact Equipment with the ability to put together product quote packages
* Sales experience, working with a distribution channel (Deere experience a plus)
* Product support experience with dealers and customers

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Masters degree in a Business/Management, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering discipline
